Cafè Barbera (Italy) signs an exclusive agreement with Franchise Arabia to expand presence in MENA & worldwide

Dubai, UAE, 15 February 2018 - Cafè Barbera, the Italian Coffee House, coffee company, the oldest coffee company in Italy and one of the oldest in Europe, has entered into an exclusive agreement with Franchise Arabia Group to expand presence in the Middle East North Africa region & worldwide.

Café Barbera is a coffeehouse and fast casual dining franchise. It operates franchises in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, South America and the United States. The franchise began in Dubai in 2004 and is named after the first Café Barbera founded by Domenico Barbera in 1870 in Southern Italy.

Café Barbera Franchise chief executive and 5th generation Dr. Enrico Barbera said: “The agreement is in line with our growth strategy to increase our store portfolio to 120 by 2020 and make our quality cups available to coffee lovers in a relaxing & classic environment.”

Cafè Barbera has franchises in 15 countries and has expanded into a business spanning continents, mostly through franchise operations. Domenico Barbera established his coffee roasting business, named Caffé Barbera, in 1870 in Naples, Southern Italy. In Europe, it is one of the oldest coffee companies. Café Barbera opened its first Corporate coffeehouse in Dubai in 2004. The first franchisee location opened in Dubai in 2008.
