Madrid, Spain – October 25, 2022 – d-uñas, the leading Spanish brand in women self-care is celebrating their 15th anniversary. Founded in 2016 by Mery Oaknin, CEO and Sandra Benzaquen, COO & director of human resources, the brand has become an international success with presence in 8 countries thanks to a consolidated network of more than 180 salons, located in the main cities of Spain and Latin America and soon in the MENA region.
After visiting a few different global markets to fully understand the best practice in the beauty & self-care sector and get to know what women really want in that space, d-uñas opened their first store in Malaga followed by a second store just six months later.
Based on the brand’s core values of innovation, sustainability, customer focus, and healthy oriented product, d-uñas became an instant success which resulted in opening more stores and later invested in the franchising model to satisfy local & international demands. Mexico & Latin America were the first global markets for the franchising model.
The success of d-uñas is mainly based on the professional workforce we continuously train. We have more than 2,000 women work at our salons creating a business structure to dignify work with hours and rights to create a good working environment. We also provide an ongoing training and support for our franchise partners.
Creating an eco-beauty product line was another milestone for the brand. All d-uñas products are manufactured in the European Union with high quality standards and have the 10 free stamps. The product line was created to fulfill a promise we made to our customers; to create and keep a healthy environment for our customers, workers and the environment. Therefore, we reduced the chemical content in the products to the minimum.
d-uñas has received the prestigious “Young Business Founder Award” which was awarded to the founders by the King of Spain.
